Extended Essay Deadlines

I have submitted the first draft of my essay, which will be returned to me within two weeks. I understand that my supervisor is expected to advise me about the essay and not edit the essay.

I have taken into account my supervisor's suggestions but feel comfortable that the essay is my own. My supervisor and I have ensured that the presentation of the essay meets the requirements of College in addition to that of IBO. My supervisor and I are satisfied that I will be able to meet the deadline for submission of the final draft of my essay.

Final Deadline: Tuesday 2011

• ALL essays will be submitted to JB during Yr13 IB Forum.
• You MUST print and bind two copies. Both will be submitted to JB on the deadline day (one will be kept by JB, one will be given to your supervisor to grade).
• You must include the following as a 'footer' on every page:
  • Name,
  • Centre name (CTC Kingshurst Academy),
  • Candidate number (please obtain from Roz or Medina) 
  • Exam session (May 2012)
• The format of your Extended Essay must follow the guidelines below (these are in your handbook). 
  •  Title page (including name, centre name, candidate number, exam session)
  •  Abstract (an overview of the essay - cannot be completed until the very end of the process).
  • Contents page (with page numbers.
  • Introduction
  • Main body (development/methods/results)
  • Conclusion
  • References and bibliography
    • If an internet site is used as one or more of your sources, It is essential that you include the URL (the Web address) and the date that source was accessed.
